Our partner church, Zion Lutheran (ELCA) in Litchfield will host a crew of courageous cooks on Friday, February 6, to peel, slice, spice, and bake as many apple crisps as we possibly can. These crisps will be shared with neighbors in need of good food and Minnesota-style comfort through our food access partners at Casa Maria and McLeod Emergency Food Shelf, and with community organizers who are doing the work of the Gospel in our cities and towns.
If you have a favorite paring knife or corer-peeler-slicer, please bring it! Otherwise, everything else we need (apples, sugar, oats, aluminum trays) will be supplied by the ministry of Good Courage Farm.
Drop in for any portion of the project and stay as long as you're able. Good conversation is guaranteed!
