About the event
Come pair learning from Scripture and learning from Creation as we tend the animals that call Good Courage Farm "home". Together, we'll dig into texts from Hebrew and Christian scriptures while learning the arts of livestock integration and wildlife habitat management. After a whole season of Second Saturdays, you'll go home with skills in fencing and feeding animals as part of a regenerative system, as well as skills in composting and managing pollinator plantings. The eggs from the poultry that we tend together will benefit our food access partners, including First Nations Kitchen, Casa Maria, and the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf.
Our Third Saturdays on the farm run from 9:00-3:00 and include lectio divina, agricultural education, field work, worship, and fellowship. Expect contact with animals and manure. All tools are provided.
Participants bring a sack lunch and wear sturdy footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.
