About the event
Want to meet kindred spirits and encounter the abundance and beauty of Good Courage Farm?
Spend a Saturday with our Orchard Stewards as they learn and grow (literally) together.
We start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00. Let us know in advance if you'll need to arrive late or depart early so that we can help you have the fullest experience.
Here are a few things to know if you'll be joining us for a session:
- We work and pray together throughout the day. Field work throughout the season includes mulching, pruning, thinning, weeding, harvesting, sorting and processing fruit.
- There are plenty of options for meaningful participation for many different body types and ages. Get in touch with us to share your needs and ideas.
- Please carpool as you're able to save fossil fuels.
- Bring a water bottle and packed lunch.
- We’ll provide gloves, but feel free to bring your favorite pair of leather work gloves
- Please wear layered clothing and sturdy boots (we may be working in heat, cold, wind, rain, or mud)
- Come with an openness to how God will be speaking through this experience
You can expect: hot beverages, tools, work, community, reflection and prayer!
Our phone number is 320-331-3332. Call if you get turned around or need information from us on the morning of the field day.
