About the event
Come pair learning from Scripture and learning from Creation as we tend the fruit trees at Good Courage Farm. Together, we'll dig into texts from the Psalms and the Prophets and learn the art of regenerative agriculture. After a whole season of First Saturdays, you'll go home with skills in pruning, grafting, mulching, composting, harvesting, and cider-making. The fruit we grow together will benefit our partner food-access ministries, including First Nations Kitchen, Casa Maria, and the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf.
Our First Saturdays in the orchards run from 9:00-3:00 and include lectio divina, agricultural education, field work, worship, and fellowship. All tools are provided. Participants bring a sack lunch and wear sturdy footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.
